September Suite Life!!!

So, here we are already in October and you wouldn't know it if you live in Southern California like us because the weather in still unnaturally blazing hot and getting hotter and hotter with each passing day. But if you have noticed we've been MIA in our blogging pretty much the entire month of September. We've been very busy bees and wanted to give you all a run down and update of our Suite September!                                        xoxo Rebecca and Christy

For the 2nd year in a row our Suite Gourmet Cupcake Truck is the official cupcake food truck of the largest fair in North America! The LA County Fair!! Which runs August 31st through September 30th. AND our Suite Sisters, Christy and Rebecca, were invited as Special Guest Chefs of the Fair and performed their own LIVE Cooking Show on the Fairgrounds every Friday night! This being our 2nd year we were definitely geared up for no sleep, lots of extra helpers and thousands of yummylicious cupcakes! Exciting stuff..Yes! Lots of hard work...Yeeeeeesss! (Above is our original schedule, we added on about 10 more days during the course of the fair)

Christy's Southern Red Velvet and Pancakes N' Bacon are our two signature cupcakes and by far our most popular. In 2007 Christy created a French light cocoa cake topped with Madagascar vanilla bean cream cheese frosting and then a buttermilk spice cake topped with a gourmet spiced bacon butter cream, loaded with more crispy bacon on top and drizzled with her special blend maple syrup and her friends, family, co-workers and community loved her for it! In 2010 she brought both to the first season of Cupcake Wars "Cupcakes for a Cause" episode, WON and the world went wild! Our Christy's Southern Red Velvet is the most searched cupcake recipe on the Food Network website and have been enjoyed by tens of thousands of people. Christy's Southern Red Velvet and Pancakes N' Bacon have been imitated by many but duplicated by none.  So naturally we HAD to make thousands of these babies for the LA County Fair!

Our Suite Gourmet Cupcake Truck aka JIM BOB (Just Inspire Many Beyond Our Belief) was definitely a shinning star in the Fun Zone at the LA County Fair. Rushes of excited, eager, happy people crowded our truck each day. The energy and happy smiles made all the hard work worth it. Our bakers, our parents, kids, truck crew, sales associates and admin team dedicated countless hours around the clock just to make this possible. We are very blessed to have them all :)

Christy and I were so excited to kick off our LIVE Cooking Show at the LA County Fair on September 7th to an amazing crowd. The show was every Friday during the Fair and was filled with nostalgic childhood memories, funny sister-sibling rivalry banter, lots of audience particpation, giveaways and of course a step by step demonstration on how to make our yummy Meyer lemon cupcakes, pomegranate frosting and Meyer lemon curd filling from home!

Christy and I were honored to be asked to be this year's surprise guest judges of the LA County Fair Cupcake Competition! Here we are pictured with the 2nd Place Winner (of a scrumptious cinnamon cupcake), Sandy Melendez Williams and her daughter, Alura, from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

This moment had to be our absolute favorite of all. Dan Love and his lovely fiance at our Suite Truck at the LA county Fair. Dan proposed by putting the ring inside a Suite 106 cupcake and said they had to stop by our cupcake truck to tell us their beautiful Suite 106 story and of course buy more cupcakes.  We had to ask if she choked on the ring but he had her cut it down the middle so that they could split it. Awww...Love it! CONGRATULATIONS lovebirds so happy to be a part of this beautiful love story :)

To recognize September National Childhood Cancer month Suite 106 Cupcakery has partnered with Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern California. Together we created the "Get To Give" Campaign to help raise awareness and much need funds to benefit childhood cancer patients and their families.During the month of September donate $10 to CCFSC and receive a Suite 106 Cupcakery cupcake! Yes, giving is Suite but it can also be life changing :)

We surprised our local Rancho Cucamonga Fire Departments on 9-11-12 to help brighten their day with cupcakes! It was such a Suite surprise! The smiles and warm thank you's were priceless. they even gave our youngest Suite 106 team member, Jayden, a tour of the fire trucks and stations. we love and appreciate you guys and gals for all that you do! We will never forget. God Bless America!

Suite 106 Cupcakery teamed up with Water of Life Community Church and the Positively Pink Outreach for this year's "Couture with for a Cause" fundraiser.  Just by donating $1 to the cause at our Victoria Gardens location you can help build a new, safe playground for the children of Locust Elementary School. Suite 106 Cupcakery also donated mini cupcakes to the "Couture with a Cause" fashion show, brunch and shopping event!

September was just an amazing month full of events, warm blessings and sweet surprises.

at the Stater Bros. 23rd Annual Route 66 Rendezvous Event in San Bernardino, Alexander, Alex and Nestor of Fontana High School's ROTC reminded us that there are helpful, good natured, attentive and respectful young men in our youth. They saw that our Suite Girls needed help setting ou their tent and booth and they didn't even hesitate to jump right in.

Girl Scout Troop #12804 of Rancho Cucamonga blessed us with their big hearts, beautiful smiles and high spirits. Their excited presence showed us what an impact you can have on others and your community just by simply giving back and paying it forward.

We have an amazing online, in store, food truck and admin team here at Suite 106 Cupcakery. All though we believe that our business is driven by our product we also believe that it is powered by the people. People are our business and our wonderful staff understands that very well. We care for our customers with a helpful, informative, caring and positive attitude. Therefore our customers not only love and respect our product, they appreciate our business and help spread the word.
