CONGRATULATIONS to our Suite girls Christiana and Rebecca Grammer on winning the 2011 Entrepreneur of the year award in the small business category. 140 companies were chosen amongst a prestigious panel of judges to be nominated for the Spirit Award, then from there the nominees were cut down to 75 semi finalist and then 25 finalist. After 3 months of deliberation 8 winners were chosen in 8 different categories and Christiana and Rebecca were recipients of the Entrepreneur of the year for small business.
A great accomplishment for these 2 busy moms so congratulations again Christiana and Rebecca you deserve it.

Eat and play games at the College of Agriculture student club booths or head over to our popular Insect Fair featuring nearly 500,000 live and preserved insects (runs from 9am-5pm) . They also have a corn maze, petting zoo, horse rides, entertainment, and lots of activities for kids! If you like pancakes, we've got them.

Cupcake Wars Season 3 "Battle of the Champs" aired last night on the Food Network featuring our very own Suite girls and Cupcake Wars Season 1 champions, Christy and Rebecca!

Yes, they might have burned their cupcakes in the first round but they made an innovative cupcake that has never been done before on Cupcake Wars! They used Molecular Gastronomy and turned the Cupcake Wars set into an all out science lab!

Here is a description of their cupcake - A French chocolate cake with Belgian chocolate graham cracker crust baked at the bottom and sprinkled on the top of the cake, filled with a port wine reduction and fresh raspberries, topped with a whipped light cocoa and raspberry buttercream, a fresh raspberry sprinkled with 24 karat gold dust, a dark chocolate abstract art piece and to top it all off port caviar! The port caviar was created by utilizing molecular gastronomy techniques to form liquid port into gelled port spheres! Amazing! Talk about biting more than you can chew in 45 minutes!

We are extremely proud of our Grammer girls- this was the "Battle of the Champs" and they wanted to bring something to Cupcake Wars that has never been seen or done before by a cupcake baker and they did.

IE FOOD TRUCK FEST kicks off on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. Spotlighting the gourmet food truck movement that has exploded over this past year, the inaugural festival is celebrating this new style of street food to the untapped community of Inland Empire.

As you may or may not know, gourmet food trucks are prohibited to roam the streets in the Inland Empire area. In hopes of changing that, which might be sooner than we think, this festival is meant to showcase the delectable cuisine that is rolling out on our SoCal streets.

Suite 106 Cupcakery is the Inland Empire's first Cupcakery and one of the first Cupcake Companies in Southern California, starting their cupcake empire in 2007. Suite 106 Cupcakery will be at the IE Food Truck Fest offering some Delicious Gourmet Cupcakes, amongst all the cupcakes they will also be doing giveaways, games and much more. Make sure you visit them and get your dessert after you enjoy all the yummy savory foods.

Tickets prices are $25 for VIP Early Admission, which is only available for the first 500 people, at 10 a.m. before the festival is officially open. Presale tickets are $8 and will go up to $10 a week before the fest. Children age 6 and under are free. Also, parking is free. The 2011 Children Mending Hearts Spring Fundraiser this year was an outdoor, elegant high profile affair. Situated in the courtyard of a private home within Brentwood, CA. 100-150 high net-worth guest were invited to not only help raise funds for an amazing cause founded by Lysa Heslov, but to also recognize the efforts of kindness and generosity of two recipents of this years' Humanitarian Awards- Maria Bello and Mr. Bill Gates Sr.

We were asked by Lysa Heslov herself to create delicious bite-sized cupcakes fit for the billionaire crowd....and I think we nailed it! Our cupcakes were the talk of the night amongst the most A-List celeb guest list that included:

Cameras and filming crews were forbidden at this exclusive event, but our very own Suite Girl, Rebecca, got a chance to sneak this incredible atmosphere shot on her mobile phone...we think the outdoor lounge clusters created by celebrity wedding event producer, Jo Gartin of Love Luck and Angels were absolutely breath-taking, not to mention the scrumptious mini cupcakes in the picture by none other than Suite 106 Cupcakery.

We Love To Volunteer! On May 7, 2011 Our Suite Girls Christy and Rebecca volunterred along side Mayor Villagrosa, Corbin Bleu of High School Musical, Matthew "Mdot" Finely of Camp Rock and many many more celebs in Watts, CA for the annual Children Mending Hearts Art Workshop. Our Suite Girls also provided delicious cupcakes for over 650 at-risk children who painted t-shirts for kids in Haiti and backpacks for kids in Japan!

Our very own Suite Momma Lee with Bill Gates Sr., Yes that is "THE" Bill Gates father! It was such an honor to meet Mr. Gates - he was a very kind, gracious and humble human being.

We had the privilage to meet some outstanding kids who loved the cupcakes and a handful of remarkable parents and teachers who appreciated Suite 106 Cupcakery's support and attendance.

'What A Difference You Can Make Just By Eating A Cupcake'

Throughout this remarkable journey Christy, myself and our family have embarked upon we have been blessed to see and experience so much in this short period of time. Less than a year ago the direction of the wind shifted us completely out of our comfort zones only to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is definitely a greater power working in overtime on our behalf.

We have been grateful for every goal accomplished, every stone that has been stumbled upon, every task that has been completed and every glimpse envisioned that has encouraged us to keep moving forward.

Our mother has always taught us that the "True Art of Baking is with Love", while our father has instilled in us that "The Key to Success is Generousity" put the two together (love and generousity) and you will have unlocked the door that we believe can change the world.

With the attitude of gratitude and with tender loving care we have developed and are conducting an inspiring fundraiser throughout the entire month of February called "Operation Love" with a portion of proceeds from every Christy's Southern Red Velvet cupcakes sold going to 3 beautiful, empowering and courageous young mothers here in the Inland Empire to help them on their journey of wellness and enrichment.

We would like to formally introduce you to these three joyfully motivated young ladies that have a beauty and thirst for life that will inspire and challenge you to change your world!

Meet Kai Glasco, a vibrantly positive and upbeat 33 year old single mother whom you would have never guessed was recently diagnosed in 2010 with Multiple Sclerosis during her 1st trimester of her third pregnancy; Kai’s powerfully radiant and happy spirit alone can change the mood of any room, not to mention a smile that breaks down all barriers in her path. Kai’s primary goal is to establish a healing level of independence despite the inability to use her legs. Currently she is treating her physical constraints with natural healing techniques including an anti-inflammatory diet and complete upper cervical care. Unselfishly Kai has begun her own foundation called "Our Women Aware Foundation" as a natural born leader and motivator, Kai is already inspiring young women with MS to understand the need to move through and transition to an overall peak of health and wellness. To follow are her own words:

"As a woman, I am compelled to express my experiences of this road less travelled. I am almost sure that there are other women who face similar if not the same obstacles in life, they know the importance of love and support from their friends and family members. The mission of "Our Women Are Aware Foundation" is to Allow single women of childbearing age the support and or informational resources pertaining to Multiple Sclerosis. Constructing and obtaining an optimal quality of life to any female MS patient who has and continues to strive despite a physical disability."

Meet Johnetta Weicks, an inspirationally grateful human being, who's love for God and zeal for life is instantly contagious. Johnetta, a mother of 3 and resident of Victorville, CA was 4 months pregnant in April 2010 when doctors discovered a large tumor in her stomach. Not only did the doctors have to perform an emergency DNC to remove the tumor but they had to dissipate the pregnancy as well.

Being recently diagnosed with colon and liver cancer, gearing up for surgery this spring to remove more tumors, undergoing vigorous chemo therapy treatments for the last 6-7 months, losing all of her hair and an enormous amount of weight you would not believe how happy, energetic and full of life she really is.

Johnetta tells me she is blessed to have been given a second chance on life after flat lining at The City of Hope in Duarte, CA in early December 2010. She now lives life as though it's her last day everyday accomplishing everything she ever wanted to try, see, go or do. She is in the midst of writing a book about her life and experiences and she has been invited to tell her story and testimony, this Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at Reveal Word Ministries in Inglewood, CA. Johnetta has also been invited and will appear on TBN this spring.

Meet Shana Hicks, a remarkably humble and grateful soul, who’s courage and strength can defeat an army of men. At 35 years of age this mother of two is a walking, talking testimony of nothing less than a miracle!

At the young age of 19 , Shana began having headaches. During one episode of what was thought to be a migraine, Shana went to the emergency room, only to be given a shot for the pain and sent home. The next day, she could barely walk…this is the day her life was forever changed.

Her doctors found four cysts at the base of her skull, blocking the spinal fluid from flowing freely to the brain. They did emergency surgery to remove the cysts and three days later a shunt was placed in her brain. Shana was diagnosed with VHL.

Shana’s grandmother also had VHL , she had lost her sight at the age of 25 with three small children. She didn’t have any other symptoms until 2010 when she started to lose her balance. Shana and her family spent her 71st birthday with her, she was surrounded by her children, grand children and great grand children. The next day she was diagnosed with a serious brain tumor. The day after that, on August 2nd, she passed away during surgery.

Shana currently has five brain tumors. She has had six brain surgeries to date. She will have regular scans to watch their growth for the rest of her life. Other surgeries will follow.

While Shana lives with VHL, she also tries to live a normal life. She enjoys spending time with her family, being a Mom and inspiring others to live life to the fullest.

Come enoy this fun-filled Halloween festival we will be there with fall flavor cupcakes and some of the cupcakes that won on our show Cupcake Wars! Meet Christy and Rebecca from the show and enjoy the festivites. The Fall Fest will be featuring arts, crafts, unique products, gourmet foods, live chalk-drawing artists, musicians, sponsor booths, and activities for... all ages. Victoria Gardens is situated at the foot of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains and 45 Miles East of Los Angeles at the crossroads of Interstate 15 & Route 66 (Foothill Blvd.) in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The Victoria Gardens Fall Fest is a celebration of arts, crafts, and unique products to serve as a community event for visitors, residents, and families. Our emphasis will be on bringing economic, cultural, social, and retail value to the attendees, exhibitors, and the City of Rancho Cucamonga.

The event will be held at Victoria Gardens Regional Town Center on N. Mainstreet and S. Mainstreet. This absolutely beautiful “garden setting” open-air town center is already an epic destination shopping experience for millions shoppers and restaurant goers every year and will be further transformed to showcase unique, one-of-a-kind creations along with various products not typically offered by retailers. The Festival will also feature selected sponsors, pre-packaged gourmet foods, and original music artists.

Our first two stops were in Corona California at Crossroads and we had the biggest crowd ever, the line was wrapped around the whole building and we made about 6,000 cupcakes for this tour stop all sold out both 2 days. This first day we sold out in about 20 minutes. We had so much fun we had to do it again. A special thank you to Logan Cole for setting this tour stop up and Pastor Chuck for allowing us to come in and feed the people our cupcakes we had a blast!

We did these cupcakes and cookie favors for my Nephew's first birthday party decorated in a monkey theme. We were in a rush so the photos we done in a rush, monkey cupcake toppers we all hand made done with sugar fondant and the cookie favors are shortbread butter cookies with royal icing and they were delicious.

May 2009 Updates

* We can no longer guarantee shipping and local delivery in time for Mother's Day!

* We are getting a second location in Pasadena California this May 2009 so please keep checking our blog for when we officially move in ( Yea)..... At this location you will be able to come in and pick up your cupcakes and we will also offer tastings not like our Kitchen in Rancho Cucamonga. This is not our official store front but our 2ND commercial kitchen location.

We are weighing our options as to where we should open our first store front location, we will be taking a poll of where you ( our customers and fans ) want the first store front location to be, Pasadena or Inland Empire? simply email us with your thoughts and votes and which ever location has the most votes, that's where we will be.

The cut off time to order The Cupcake Truffles for Easter if using the USPS 2-3 day Priority mail is Today 4/7/09 by 5pm. To order by 2 day air is Wednesday 4/8/09 by 5pm and for next day is Thursday 4/9/09 by 2pm. If you would like to order the 2 day air and overnight, please email us so we can set up arrangments.

The cut off time for our standard cupcake packages is Friday by 5pm 4/10/09 and delivery will be made on Saturday April 11th. We deliver FREE to Rancho Cucamonga, North Fontana, North Ontario, Alta Loma and Upland. Outside the Free covered areas delivery starts at $10 and goes up depending on distance. Our standard cupcake packages are only available for local delivery in Southern California.
